A Passionate Mantra for the Web...

From Miss Emily's post here....

"You don't have to be good, just brave."

What she experienced on Melrose avenue is the emotional surge I feel when I discover a new site on the web. When you click on a site and it's obvious someone cares about the subject so much they have to share it and seek out others. That they put the passion into it...it's that little red-haired girl giving you your first kiss in 5th grade.

As we evolve out of the broadcast model and into the social media model that's what's going to get us through - the passion. You can just tell when someone is doing it for the money and when someone's doing it because they truly love something. There's no reason why new media can't encompass both - the ability to make money from your passions (and not in that Chatsworth sort of way)

In the next couple of weeks I'm going to be spotlighting some of those people out there that are doing it, passionately. That wrap themselves in the pulp like these wonderful women:

Hey Bill,

Thanks for pointing out Emily's post, inspiring but not in that makes you want to puke sort of way, which can be a very fine line.

Your reaction sounds like an invitation to offer an invitation. So come on over and check out the pulp of my passion: http://www.deadtomorrows.com
