Vhs in 2005 is down to 17% of revenue, a final gasp from the 29% it was in 2004. Distributors are telling retailers there WILL BE NO VHS IN 2006.

A few months ago, one of my family memebers wanted to give me a VHS tape of a family reunion, I told them,truthfully, that I don't even own a vhs machine any more. They asked around and out of the 10 members of my family present only 3 of them had a functioning vhs machine. Everyone else had already switched to dvd. So, the cousin trying to give people tapes had to back up and get teh tape converted to dvd. Guess my family is a good example of this trend.
