It annoys me that Crash and Munich are both up for Best Picture while A History of Violence isn't. Munich and Crash are both overwrought and overblown message pictures that take themselves so seriously they reach the point of unintentional hilarity. At least History delivers its message sans histrionics and with some intentional guffaws.
