"The Times, They Are A Changinnnn...."

Seems ABC has started to embrace the online model we had been discussing earlier - shows with commercials available online for free in addition to having pay downloads without commercials.

You can read about it here.

(Thanks go to Roger RmJet for the heads up!)

Edit: Rupert Murdoch also agrees with your mad pulp bastard as he initiates video streaming of Fox shows on his "other network", MySpace...

(and if you don't think MySpace is a network, you haven't been paying attention...)

So, Bill, how's it feel to be on the same wavelength as Bob Iger? The main thing I like about this is more options -- you can still buy the shows on iTunes if you want, or watch them for free with commercials. Iger really seems to have his finger on the pulse.

I like free shit...especially on the web.

...and Fox has made some deal with its affiliates to make episodes available day after airing on its website. In H'wd Reporter today.

More free TV from WB, too. They've recently launched a new site called In2TV (http://television.aol.com/in2tv), "the first broadband TV network," where you can watch episodes from a slew of shows like Lois & Clark, Wonder Woman, Welcome Back Kotter, Kung Fu, The Fugitive, La Femme Nikita, and more for free online. Even better is that they've got special lists organized where you can watch the pilot of each show, or see episodes where big stars like Brad Pitt and George Clooney got their breaks.

The only thing that sucks about In2TV, though, is that it's completely Windows-centric. No Mac or Linux.

I like the initial concept of In2tv, however all of their stuff is "old" library material and not recently run shows.

I also saw the 1st ep. for THE BEDFORD DIARIES online (though I wish I hadn't) on wb.com.

Now's the time for first run web material to begin development...
