Feast On This!

Here's the Project Greenlight movie Feast trailer which is different than the one I saw at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors a couple of months back.

I actually liked the other trailer better, and I hope that it is included on the DVD as well. This one has a few moments, but it isn't as lively as the other trailer - it's a bit text heavy.

One thing I do like about this trailer is the fact that the camera moves and has tense angles which are visually interesting. If you're going to make a creature-feature, that's what you want. The funny thing is that a lot of that motion and jerkiness is available to you in post-production as a plug-in to your editing suite software.

So to all of you out there - there's no excuse not to have at least visually tense scenes as required. Choose your angles and go!

And the reason I'm saying this is I've been forced to watch a lot of uninteresting movies lately for a client. It's disappointing...

I'm told Feast will have a screening in Vegas for two nights as promotion for the DVD, which is appropriate as George Maloof was one of the financiers of this picture.

Trailer looks okay...but you say there's a better one out there - hmmmm.

Curious your take on the whole MySpace thingee?

I thought that trailer was pretty darn fun. I can't remember the other one -- this one has more of a slow build thing happening -- with all those moody shots of the desert landscape, etc.

Have to say that I love that part with the guy who says "Who am I? I am the guy who's gong to save your ass." And then he gets devoured. Nice.
