Well, all I can say is after all the hoopla it better be awe-some.

No pressure...

What is it with everybody, changin' templates for the new year? Is it boredom or the blogland version of spring cleaning?

We're waiting ... not so patiently.

Pretty lippy for the peanut gallery, huh?

Caroline, this is DISContent.

"Lippy" comes with the territory.

Changing templates is like putting on a new suit. It gives you a new strut, and all the ladies take notice.

;D

I'm good at lippy, in case you didn't notice it in other places.

Ah, so you're looking for a little attention? Strut away, my boy.

BTW, nice footage on the flaming cockroach drinking. They're quite yummy.

Did you have a nice Christmas?

Re: flaming cockroaches - good for awhile. Four of them is an infestation of the brain though...

My Christmas was good. Quiet and relaxing all by myself.

And you?

I may have a higher tolerance than you re: the flaming cockroaches. I am a regular Patron drinker when I can.

Christmas was odd. Didn't feel very Christmas-y, but I did try. I got a new fake tree and it does look spectacularly good. I loaded up on cheesy Christmas music. But couldn't quite get in th spirit this year, not sure why. Possibly a greater malaise, possibly just my life in flux and feeling out of sorts (which seems to be going around).

Did spend it with my brother, who I never get to see since he lives in Virginia, and my youngest sister, who just moved back here. The first time ever it was just we three and that was pretty nice. My other sister is out your way (San Diego) and called but it would have been perfect to have here here, too. Christmas has been a little funky for everyone since my dad died a few years ago. We've got a healthy amount of family dysfunction and this was perhaps as normal as we've been of late.

I think next year I may try to find myself under a palm tree somewhere.
That's me jonesing for a vacation in a big way.

Off to walk the hound and then to sleep. Manana, mi amigo.
