I know that creating surprises is often a necessary part of creating narratives and the sense of real risk for protagonists helps keep stories fresh, but I am sick of all the "we are going to kill x or y stories."
Especially, when for no reason they bring characters like Captain Mar-Vell back after so many years that the only people who remember the great Starlin story are old fogies like me.
This will be the shortest "death" you have ever seen in comics...watch.
(And I'm not counting the fact that not only is Cap on the cover of next week's Moon Knight AND Marvel Spotlight--where it asks "Captain American and Iron Man: Can they still be friends?")
Whatever you do, don't spend a ton of money on this issue(it's on eBay for up to $100).
Yeah... no way. Besides, can you name me a single character that has stayed dead? It's the curse of writing for comics... whatever you do, whatever you create, some dingus is just going to come along and change it all back to the way it was when he was a lad...
Oh, Bill... started picking up some of the "Spider" pulp doubles from Girasol while waiting for the next double Shadow issue... so very worth it. So very, very good...
I'm not going to spend the money on any "Cap Dies" issues.
I've been picking up the SHADOWs and SAVAGEs and really haven't had time to read more than half of what I've purchased thus far...
As for the SPIDERs I know of the Girasol editions and the forthcoming Moonstone Books anthology as well as the Bantam reprints. Moonstone is also putting together CAP MIDNIGHT and PHANTOM anthologies as well. All will be illustrated.
