Good Morning! Your Friday Is Ruined...

Because of this...

I mean really, how do you go from one to the other?

Can someone really explain that to me in today's big budget, true-to-the-source-material world?
This is a leap I am NOT prepared to make. I know I am ranting over something as stupid as a radio drama character, but really...
Do these execs know how much money they could make with a serious crime movie starring the Hornet? I mean really, Christopher McQuarrie (USUAL SUSPECTS, WAY OF THE GUN) wrote a draft oh so long ago, and now we turn to Seth Rogen?
Damn...

They're blinded by the $146m Knocked Up has made to date.

They want the magic to transfer. I haven't seen KU yet, but it does look funny. However, having Seth play a millionaire type is to my way of thinking the same as when Stallone played the suave, stockbroking on the side cop in Tango and Cash, it didn't go so well. It might work, stranger things have happened.

cheers
Dave.

I've never been a Hornet fan and don't know much about him, but even I can tell you that Rogen's NOT the man for the costume in that one. (I don't know much about his writing ability, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until I see different)

I know, Bill. Still trying to pick myself up off the floor over that one. Where's my torch and pitchfork?

Maybe this will help make it better:

When will they take this stuff more serious? The Shadow was another punch to the kidney. The interview with Wm Kaluta for the next first issue of AAM has some choice remarks on how that film went south Bill.
