Bill, I'm not 100% sure what we're testing here, and it doesn't sound like the others are, either. If I'm not mistaken, it's Issuu as an innovative format for interactive comics on the web, right? Assuming that's what you want feedback about, I have to say I like it, and may play around with it myself, as far as uploading something to share on Groovy Age.
1) The viability of comics as we know them on the web. The look, the feel.
2) we're also testing the mechanism of distribution - how far will this reach and in what #'s - with just my one simple email announcement.
The argument that has been raging has been about the viability of comics in this format (digital) and if you could really make money off of it. This experiment of mine is entirely anecdotal, but I wanted to dip my toe in the water of testing that this could work.

Yes, there are other digital comics out there - Zuda, for example - but this is a case where the software to create and effectively distribute the comic is entirely free. I like this software because it mimics the actual form of print comics and magazines instead of static web pages or clunky controls that only display part of the "page" of artwork. I think that would be one exceptionally important component to attract an audience.
Doing something for Groovy age would be awesome. A 'Best of...' compendium of content from your site put together in your own 'Famous Monsters' would be a must-have.

We're testing two things:
