The WTF Department:

From today's Hollywood Reporter...

Michel Gondry is in negotiations to direct "The Green Hornet," Columbia's big-screen treatment of the classic crime-fighting hero being portrayed by Seth Rogen.

Excuse me, I'm going to go have my aneurysm now...

(Heh. The Word Verification is [I kid you not] "suckey".)

At least, the movie will be... interesting for lack of a better word.

Is it just me, or does this feel like driving towards a cliff and stepping on the gas?

Well, come on, you can't expect people to take a maked crusader movie seriously. It's not like you'll ever see the Oscars giving out awards to a guy playing...oh, I don't know, a psychopath in clown makeup.

Wait a minute...

Aw, I was hoping for Kevin Smith and Nicholas Cage.

"Be Kind, Rewind" was a great idea that ran out of gas about 3/4 of the way through. A lot of recent super-hero movies (ie: "Batman Begins") have run out of gas about 3/4 of the way through.

Seth Rogan as the Hornet is one of those ideas that doesn't seem fully thought through.

Therefore this guy would seem to be the perfect choice to direct.

Even money Jack Black gets to be one of the villains.

Don't pop a vein, MPB. Move on to better things.
