Filmmakers Adopting the Pulp Methods

Mike Curtis over at HD for Indies recently attended the DGA Digital Day Conference 2009 and took some great notes. Especially regarding new distribution methods and ways for indies to maximize the audience.

The Takeaway is:

Yes, distribution is work, and you have to focus a great portion of your resources towards it before, during and after the moviemaking process. The speaker at the conference Peter Broderick had some great points. I will be pulling these out bit by bit over the course of the week and going through them.

Yes, people are out there making movies in new ways. Cheaper ways. Innovative ways. And they are distributing themselves in the same cheap innovative ways.

They are doing it the pulp way.
