Some years ago I discussed the point of copy protection with a representative of a videogame distributor. He told me to think about it as a race. Don't try to come up with the perfect copy protection, that's an illusion. Just try to save the first few weeks of distribution.

I think simultaneous international releases are an important strategy in a similar race. Especially if the material has some kind of addictive quality - like a TV series.

Before a new episode of Lost shows up on german TV it can take a few months. Want to know how BSG ends? Too bad - the last half has not found its way here, yet.

I understand that all those business decisions and distribution strategies take time. But don't make a sad face if noone wants to watch your show. Everyone already knows it. :)
