Video Business Closes Shop

After 29 years the industry trade VIDEO BUSINESS is ceasing publication.

Seems awful sudden. I just got a notice to renew my subscription not long ago...

Again, that shows you the power of the mailing list. RBI (the parent company) wants your info so they can try and get you for Variety or something else.

I'm sure they didn't come to this decision easily, and there's always been some animus between the Variety and the VB ends of the company.

I'm sort of wondering whether or not they will keep a website going... might be room for a small operation there, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part...

I've worked with the VB folks on awards shows and so on and they will be missed.
