No Explanation Required: La Mujer Murcielago (The Batwoman)

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I have a poster from this movie in my office. It's a pretty iconic image - part 1960's Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) meets Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine by way of Mexico.

But Geek Orthodox gives you the lowdown on this classic bit of Mexi-cinema far better than I could.

Go. Now.

Hot. Very hot.

Here's a poster variant with 9 minutes of footage from this masterpiece. Maura Monti was smokin' and the appearance of the sea monster at 4:25 is gold. Cheers.

Here's more stills of the lovely Ms Monti in action. Maura Monti was a real femme fatale.

Psa - are you making fun of THE BATWOMAN? Beautiful women in bikini bat-suits and rubber monsters is serious stuff, NOT to be trifled with!

(Don't make me pull out a six-pack of Whupass)

And yes, Ms. Monti is lovely...

No fun made, honest. I have tremendous affection for this sort of film. I aspire to make this sort of film and I'd much rather see a rubber monster than a CG one. No whupass needed, I swear.

And hey, the bat bikini was inspirational!
