DETERMINISM

I hate the title. (I really do)
I like the look of this though.
Shot on video with a good eye - inexpensive yet with a lush look.
I think it should move faster than it does. 2:21 is 51 seconds too long for a good trailer.

See for yourself:

It could have been "My Wild Card" or... or... anything... ;-)

Yeah, actually WILD CARD by itself would be pretty good. DETERMINISM sounds like an essay by Ayn Rand.

It's funny 'cause I think that over on... er... John August's blog (?) today was a thing about not having your actors say the name of your movie. But I think the best movie titles come from a line in the movie.

Yeah, "Wild Card" has my vote so far.

You know, I understand the criticism of having actors say the title in the movie-that it pulls the audience out of the story and almost makes them expect to see the title of the movie explode onscreen in big letters right after they say it-

But it depends on the movie, I remember watching BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA and just waiting, hoping for Kurt Russell to SAY it-maybe during one of his "Pork Chop Express" monologues...maybe it wouldn't be so effective in say, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, but for a pulp movie...

What is this TERMS OF ENDEARMENT you speak of? I have never heard of it...

You should see it-action packed. Jack Nicholson plays this mysterious astronaut being chased by the government...;-)
