Did you see the banner ad they're running on HollywoodReporter.com? I saw it on the Tom Cruise/Bryan Singer WWII story. It says "Columbia Pictures and Original Film Proudly Announce the Return of a the Comic Book Legend," with a logo treatment of the title off to the right.

Yeah, I saw it.

It's a marketing ploy is all since comics are hot they want people to think the Hornet originated in comics. He started in radio (he is actually related to The Lone Ranger), went to comics and movies, then television. He came back to comics with the Now Comics series then disappeared again. The two graces of the Now Comics run were:

- the idea there have been generations of Hornets since the thirties...the "family business' if you will.

- They made Kato a female.

Yeah, I thought the comic book comment in the tag was odd, too. The Hornet radio series was the best thing to come out of Detroit besides the automobile.
