Darwyn Cooke is the freakin' MAN. I could read NEW FRONTIER a million times and still love it.

And his run on The Spirit was proof that you could update Eisner's iconic hero without destroying him a la Frank Miller.

This is seriously drool-inducing. Worth mentioning as well that Univerisity of Chicago Press just released the second set of three early Parker novels in some very handsome editions. I just finished The Mourner and am regretting not picking up all three on the same trip to the bookstore.
