Is Buck Rogers public domain? I would like to do a a Buck Rogers film some day.

No, BUCK is not in the public domain. This web serial is being produced by James Cawley from license by the Dille Family Trust.

It's being directed by our buddy, Fred Olen Ray, and has guest star cameos from Gil Gerard and Erin Gray.

I've enjoyed what Cawley has done with his STAR TREK NEW VOYAGES stuff so this is really exciting. I don't think when he got into this that he expected to become a leader, but I think things like Buck Rogers are going to be the game changers.

It's the little thing, isn't it? Like the Jetson-esque circles of smoke coming from that rocket. Those are a nice touch. Cinerati mentioned Gil Garard making an appearance and my first thought was, "Heck with that, I want to see Erin Gray." Thanks for the heads up on that one.

I think it will be fun and a way to push the online video production movement forward.

I like the fact that Cawley and his group got hold of the license and were able to take another step up in their productions.

I had a business conversation the other day and out of it came one of those little kernels of truth:

Thanks to technology, the only difference between a good production and a bad production is people who give a shit...
