Those Are My Words, But That's Not My Voice...

The observant amongst you have no doubt noticed the wonderful little widget I have installed on my blog - Odiogo.
Odiogo takes the written word and translates it into speech that you can hear either on my blog itself, or via downloading this blog from Itunes. I got the idea after seeing it used over at Kung Fu Monkey, and it's one of those widgets that's fun to play with...
For those of you curious as to how my whiskey-soaked voice really sounds, I would suggest that you head over to Geekerati tonight at 7 pm...
OR -
You could join us this Friday night at Boardner's at 7pm for a pulp meet-and-greet. Friends of the mad pulp bastard who will be attending include James Felix McKenney of AUTOMATONS fame and BLOOD TIES producer Peter Mohan.
So here's your best opportunities in the near future to hear me rant and rave. I am working hard on a script treatment and a dozen or so other things that I feel need doing.

If Leverage Had Been Created in the 80's
Then Nate, Sophie, Parker, Hardison and Eliot would have been riding the highways and byways in this baby here:
And they would have had a chimp mascot who occasionally (every episode) saved their ass by whipping up some Mad Monkey Kung Fu.
I'm just sayin...

The Monkey is Leveraging the Pulp
From the Kung Fu Monkey.
"Yes, we made 13 prime time episodes of television with stuff you can buy at your local Apple store. "
From the Apple FCP article:
Where have I heard that before?
The show is on tonight. Check it out.
"Yes, we made 13 prime time episodes of television with stuff you can buy at your local Apple store. "
From the Apple FCP article:
Devlin kicked off his more-for-less strategy by devising an end-to-end Final Cut workflow for the show’s pilot episode: “My goal on the pilot was to stay entirely within Final Cut Studio and really see how far we could take it. We color corrected in Color, we edited in Final Cut Pro, we mixed in Soundtrack Pro. We delivered the show without ever going to an outside post house.”
And he says that the extreme inside moves had immediate and conspicuous results: “The workflow really exceeded all of our expectations. We were trying to do a show that costs about twice as much as we had the money for, and the Final Cut post workflow allowed us to take every dollar we saved and put it back up on the screen."
Putting. The. Value. On. Screen.Where have I heard that before?
The show is on tonight. Check it out.
